Feathers is Simona De Rosa’s journey through cultures, languages, and personal experiences, woven together through eight distinct tracks. Each song reflects years of musical exploration and deep personal connections, blending folk traditions from different parts of the world. From the rolling green fields of Ireland to the rhythmic pulse of Cuba, the haunting beauty of Bulgarian choirs to the soulful melodies of the Arab world, Feathers is an immersive, genre-defying experience.
The album’s rich and eclectic sound has been carefully crafted with Michal Ciesielski, who co-wrote and arranged the music, tailoring each composition specifically to Simona De Rosa’s voice and artistic vision. Over the course of a year, the two worked closely together to shape every detail of the album, creating a collection of songs that feel deeply personal and sonically cohesive. His arrangements bring depth and cohesion to the diverse influences present in the album, creating a bridge between cultures.
The unique sonic landscape is further enriched by the Polish band Confusion Project, with whom Simona has developed a strong musical partnership over the years. This collaboration merges Simona’s diverse vocal artistry with Confusion Project’s dynamic instrumentation, resulting in a truly global sound.
Since its release on March 23, 2025, Feathers has been brought on tour across Europe with over 50 concerts in Poland, Germany, and Italy, touching stages in festivals, jazz clubs, and cultural centers.
